In the Honeybee classroom, children will embark on daily yoga adventures! During the fall and spring, yoga will be outside and your child will have the chance to be barefoot in the grass- something we all love! When the weather is too cold for bare feet, we will have yoga classes inside and will incorporate dancing, drawing, music, and stories. The children will even get a change to lead their own mini yoga classes!
Early childhood is such an exciting time in our lives! It is the time when we are learning so many things about life. Children are discovering their ability levels and favorite activities. They are learning about their bodies; how they move and how to control their movements. At this age children are developing personalities, and becoming individuals. They are figuring out how to cope with the many challenges that life brings from tying shoes and walking downstairs to expressing feelings and interacting with others.
Yoga means unity; a balance between the mind and body.
Yoga inspires children of all ages to use their imaginations and discover the calm balance within themselves. Yoga encourages them to step outside of their comfort zone to express their curiosities and to discover their physical and mental abilities. Yoga is exciting for kids and never fails to spark the imagination within a group of children.
